Occupy Dame Street Post Eviction- Police Confiscate Flag

One the eve of its 6th month anniversary, the Occupy Dame Street camp was evicted in the middle of the night. Replicating the cowardly model of police actions across the western world is suppressing the Occupy manifestations via direct suppression whilst populations slept, over 100 police officers, including armed police officers shut off the city center. They confiscated everything including personal possession, laptops, minutes from 6 months of general assemblies and internal meetings as well as donations from the wider public. No legal basis for the eviction was provided, and documents provided where week old print out of sections of law. No judge nor senior officer signed any legal requirement for the eviction. This is the type of impunity the police regularly visit in other areas on working class inner city Dublin and communites in Mayo west Ireland Today I filmed police confiscating a tricolor from one of those present as they tried to drape it on a fence outside the I! rish Central Bank. At the end of this month the Irish Central Bank, as part of the European Central Bank will demand รข‚¬3100000000 of money to be extracted from our society. As inequality and poverty grows, the ICB will simply burn this money. . You cant evict an idea. Anti Capitalist by choice. Anti Authoritarian for life. The camp was removed so a VIP stand can be erected for a St Patricks Day Parade.
